Why we're building StackWatch

In August 2026 Productiv announced its shutdown on 2 August and stopped operating four days later. Reports say no customer data was kept. Relay.app deleted free accounts on 15 August and paid accounts on 14 September. Delibr closed on 31 August, and AWS Proton reached end of support on 7 October.

None of these were secret. Each one came with a notice. The trouble is where the notice lands: one email among hundreds, sent to whoever signed up for the tool years ago.

StackWatch is a small fix for that. You put the tools you depend on onto a board. When one of them announces a shutdown, a price rise or a cut to its free tier, you get one email with the date, what happens to your data, the export steps and the alternatives the vendor names. Every notice links to its source, and the full register is public at /radar.

One tool is free. Pro watches your whole stack for $5 a month.

It is an experiment: if nobody finds it worth that, we'll say so here.
